Brothers Poem by Eric Paeplow

Brothers

Sit with me, I shall tell you the story of the universe.
I will tell you of the earth and your place here, with me
I will tell you of hardships and pain,
I will tell you of periods of plenty,
I will tell you of love and devotion
As I read these words, as I tell this story,
remember one thing, I am you and you are me
We are the same my friend, you and me,
we are inseparable, brothers for all eternity
Sun and sky, field and stream, inseparably linked,
beneath the stars that twinkle in the night
Nothing past, nothing present, nor the future need you believe, believe in love, believe in that one thing
And as we rest here in the cool morning light,
breathe deep these thoughts into your very being
And sit with me, as I tell you the stories of eternity
