Brown Magic Poem by Mary Champion

Brown Magic

Brown Bear was browned off,
he'd developed a cough,
so he cried to his Mum - 'I feel ill!
Should I swallow this little white pill? '

But she said, 'You don't need that white junk,
what you need is this sticky brown gunk.
A spoonful or two
of my treacly brew,
will cure every cough, wheeze and sneeze
that has brought my Brown Bear to his knees.'

And, to Brown Bear's delight,
his mother proved right, -
by morning, he felt right as rain -
brown eyes burnished bright once again.
