Buliding A Wall Poem by S.M. Riggin

Buliding A Wall

When he looked me in the eyes
and told me that he loved me
my niave heart did believe
and gave itself to him.

Now searching the memories
I'm finding myself
and who I can be
But my heart is no where to be found.

I may be over him
but anytime he smiles
my heart still flutters and
skipps a beat.

Now I search my soul,
and try to find my heart
shattered somewhere in pieces
piecing it back together by my self

I know what i want
and I know how i felt
Never will my heart be vulernable
so I build a wall.
