Bury Your Dead Poem by Daniel Brown

Bury Your Dead

I am not who you think I am
I'm not what you perceive,
I hide behind these broken lies,
Behind these broken dreams...
My lie becomes me day by day,
I live within disease,
My sin is inescapable,
It keeps me on my knees...
My goal seems unattainable,
A shout lost in the breeze...
I'll bring you close, then tear you down,
And maybe you will see,
I am soulless, dead inside...
A corpse that simply feeds...
