The world lives faster every day
Where fools take up the chase
Through selfishness we’ve lost the way
Whilst truth still hides its face

If foolishness could see the light
We’d stop and wonder why
We’d cease The Lord our God to fight
We’d seek His face on high

Instead we seek our pots of gold
For rainbows in the blue
Hoping to buy what can’t be sold
Hunting for something new

We need to see there’s something wrong
To life there must be more
Cease now to sing our selfish song
And open wisdom’s door

For though on earth we come with nought
Yet rich we may depart
When humble souls the truth have bought
Through love within the heart

To Heaven’s door the way is free
To endless life above
When to God’s Lamb we bow the knee
And pledge eternal love

At first of course this seems unreal
The truth is so profound
But then a while when Christ we feel
We seek the higher ground

Salvation’s true its here today!
God’s Kingdom’s found within
Let’s seek the truth whilst still we may
And end our lives of sin………..
