Buying Breakfast For My Kamikaze Pilot {for H.B.} Poem by Shane Markie

Buying Breakfast For My Kamikaze Pilot {for H.B.}

She always takes us both down for a crash landing. I don't know why she does it. Am I the enemy, or is she? Its hard to tell on this particular morning. I buy her breakfast anyway while I give her all I have, and she given me all she is, whether in anger or love, as we go crashing through the breakfast plates, upsetting the orange juice and eggs.

The coffee shop becomes our battleground where we both die together holding to onto each other for our dear sweet insignificant lives.
