By Myself Poem by Vanessa Kingsley

By Myself

Sun sparkles and shines on the green jade leaves that look like gems. I'm left alone inside and I'm by myself.
No one looks for me
No one cares
No one sees me
Because no one dares
No one knows me because talk is cheap
Life is just a lie
Like out TV
I'm by myself
Just one alone
The world keeps spinning
On its own
If you cared
You'd read this too
But it'll be too late
Because it can't be soon
I’m left to rot
I’m left to die
Now you wish, you said goodbye
But sadly, you didn't
Because you didn't care
My body lay in a ditch somewhere
I screamed and cried
I kicked and thrashed
No one called me
No one asked
I’m not okay
I’m in the dark
Next time I'll know
To save my heart
From all the pain
And loneliness
I thought about it more than once
My heart has stopped
Its now a bust
And you still read
On and on
You still haven't called
I'm on my own
The sun is out
Go play right now
Before your life
Is smothered out
No you don't care
Because if you did
I’d be alive
Instead of in that ditch
