Caged Bird Poem by Jessica Kissner

Caged Bird

Rating: 3.0

Lost forever in a cage
Never to set free.
I can not sing
For the Collar around my neck.
The lease a chain
that cannot brack.
The man outside looks in
And trys to make me sing.
But I cannot
For he has choked me.
And the old women speaks
'A caged bird will not sing.'

It's as if you're the bird itself! Well penned, keep writing!
