Charlotte Ballard

Calla Lillies - Poem by Charlotte Ballard

Pure pinkness with
Undertones of
Purple bruises and
Red scuffing.
Softness swept
Curving lusciously-
Inviting with
An open middle
Offer prayers
Of forgiveness
And of new
Beginnings
But not of yours -
Tampered green
Straight lines
From a held out
Hand.
'Precious-'
