Can I? Poem by Noren Bagundol

Can I?

Rating: 4.5

Can I hold your hand?
And show to everyone,
That you belong to me,
And I as well to you.

Can I sit beside you?
And smell your perfume,
Enjoying the scent,
Enjoying it all day long.

Can I hug you?
Maybe it be from aback,
As long as you can feel,
The warmth I have.

Can I walk with you?
Feeling the cold breeze,
Swaying our hair,
Where no one cares.

Can I sing with you?
Following your rhythm,
Blending with your own voice,
Making our own melody.

Can I dance with you?
As you lead me to the crowd,
Teaching me your steps,
Creating our own style.

Can I shout to the world?
While saying the three-letter word,
Coming from the bottom of my heart,
I love you, my sweetheart.

Can I sleep next to you?
And cuddle by your side,
Waking up the next morning,
With your loving face behind.

Everything I want to do,
Depends on that 'Can I',
For you are not even mine,
And dreams don't even know why.
