Captivity Poem by Kara Diaz

Captivity

Captivity is a person trapped in a place with no way out
Down there narrow cage
There are large bars
I scream in rage
freedom open my ears

The free person thinks of a summer breeze in the sunset
And the soft winds
Captivity is a person trapped in a place with no way out
Places I've got to see
I must be traveling now.

Once I drive into these pages.
I may not not come out for ages
I'm a prisoner on land
Print a paper of my hand
I open my mouth to sing

captivity, pain sent me to the den of lions
one line of square, deep the gape, only elegant brooms
could quicken the tick, pick the dry fallen leaves
before they turn the sorrow to decay to hate
