Cast An Eastern Eye Poem by Arno Le Roux

Cast An Eastern Eye

Cast An Eastern Eye

Staring unhappily from the sundown fuller side
Aroma of leathery upholstered couches wide
Hands over possessions gripping worries and crime
Hearing creaking safe doors slam over golden dime
Doctors visits medicated into submission slave
Stressing over sinking interest decreasing wave
Ever mindful of balancing cholesterol and sugar test
Success then death they were the best...

Looking intently from the golden sunrise side
Hot tea aroma fills an empty wooden monastery wide
Hands helping old ones upstairs to bells that chime
Smiling while on small portions fruity dine
Peace and mental comfort as they all forgave
Meditating gratitude for sunny minutes before the grave
Ever mindful of the blessing on earth to live
Healthy ones as they smile when at old age arrive...
