One block at a time
I tried to build a castle
a room for you and me
And some shining lights from the candles
Used my dreams to paint the walls
And my memories for the door
A little love from you on top of it
And i wouldnt crave for more
Far away just by the ocean
We'd live together happily
I'd rest my head in your arms
And sing a song for you and me
These strong walls of the castle
Will keep you safe from the storm
And in the days of the cold winter
I'd give all my love to keep you warm
A small yard in the back
Where the children would play their games
And a flowery garden in front
Where you'd dance in the rain
And if you get tired of dancing
I'd hold you in my arms
If you ever need somebody
I'd always be around
But the blocks I used for the castle
They were all made of sand
And the castle that I tried to build
Was too far away from the land
With just one touch of the gentle breeze
The walls all fell apart
And the castle it all came down crumbling
Just like my broken heart
Now this castle made of sand
Has drifted into the sea
EVENTUALLY...
