Casualty Of Forbidden Love Poem by Lisa Teres Fraser

Casualty Of Forbidden Love

Trapped inside a foreign body
The images portrayed are not my own
But those of an inferior being
The force was overpowering
And the fight determined
Those who I loved
I can love no more
For my love was stripped from my existence
I am incapable of love
But the pain it caused remains
Never again will I open my heart
To see what is inside
I live in shame
Never to face the world again
I leave with no hope or love
Only the peace within the soul I lost
