Catastrophe Goodbye Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Catastrophe Goodbye

As the world revolves in fear
Sickened with lying cheats
With drugs spirits and beer
The youth rampage the streets

There’re wars are raging everywhere
Much pestilence runs wild
Though only few seek God in prayer
While many seem beguiled

Catastrophic is the whether
World banks are crashing too
Man and nature fail together
Regardless what we do

Even our children run amok
With hatchet knife and gun
When will our governments take stock?
And see what can be done

Even then! Will nothing arise
How far how deep they seek
Not till the foolish become wise
And the arrogant meek

First then, perhaps their knees will bend!
The proud will bow in prayer
The deceivers cease to pretend
And covetous sharing learn

Then blinded eyes will open wide
The deaf with lend and ear
The proud cast off their foolish pride
And learn God’s name to fear

They’ll know The Truth and see their sin
See love nailed to the tree
Then will salvation dawn within
And set more children free
