Catch You On The Flip Side, Brother Poem by Mark Cho

Catch You On The Flip Side, Brother

I write to you in the past.
I wish I held on to your clasp.
Your laugh blurs my sight.
Restart the night.

I wish the Candlelight
Would Bring You Back
Beside me Again
Back to our promised place.
Restart the night.

The hands of time stand still.
But I keep rewinding my memories
to find your shadow.
If I could start from the end
I would bear your scars and never
Let Go
Restart the night.

Restart the night
And tell me the world is just a lie.
Without you, the old city is full of ghosts.
With a sigh
I realise I must let you go
Back to the lunar lights.
Wait for me
on the other side
Brother.
