Celestial Language Poem by Cory Huennekens

Celestial Language

My sun is hidden behind the clouds
My moon has waned in the night sky
But my stars will speak forth knowledge.
I will whisper in the trees with a quiet voice
Too faint for deaf ears -
The waves lapping on the shore will tell
In their gentle meter and rhythm
At the break of dawn when eyes just open
The choir of birds will sing in harmony
Things which can’t be spoken
And when you lay in the long green grass
And stare at the white clouds floating by,
As the wind cools your face from the hot sun
Then you will know you’re not alone
Yes my words will soar on the very breeze
And echo in the chambers of your heart
