Chamber Poem by Jawad Qamar

Chamber

As on a shore I stand,
Gentle breeze of spring goes passing by,
A sweet aroma lights up the sky
Would I on such a day dare cry?

Rests on water a withered leaf unrushed,
Before long is lifted on back of gust.
On still water cast a reflection must
A day serene and nature so just.

Oh! Outshines the river water in my eyes.
Three caskets on back as Heart wades and tries.
Dreams, Desires and Emotions in state of demise!

Utters he not a note but
Seize I it says what.
Time for my eyelids to thud shut.

‘Deceased dreams, desires and emotions
Inside the decrepit walls of my chamber lie
What can I do but cry?
Shed tear and rid me of commotion!
