Change - Poem by Merina Dahal

I started for a change
Never thought change was desultory
It engulfed me in bay
And it was dulcet and heavy

Pain was emollient
It outturned every mysteries of my life
Erstwhile I wanted to be competent
It was furtive, blurred and I got deep

I didn't gambol
Instead it was panoply and it never got me outside
I found that change is quintessential
So, I stirred the rippled like memories to get it right

It was muddy and never learning to leave
I caught the glimpses of change
I felt like a pyrrhic
And understood the value and endured it
