Changed

My feet walk on smooth sand.

By day I walk, my madras of clothing
reflecting the colors of my soul
the world can today behold;
absorbing the black tar of my burden so that
each step can be taken.
My feet walk on smooth sand.

With yore I walk, exposed to
pollutants of a soggy air.
My patina has yet to fail
me - And with the green to copper
as the wax covering my burdened skin -
I dissimilate indifferently.
My feet walk on smooth sand.

To and fro I walk by such a sly
pretense. Not a man sees me pass by
as I evolve;
And with my clear mask secured,
I dissimulate indifferently.
My feet walk on smooth sand.

I dissimilate by means of dissimulating;
I fade as I grow, a contradicting
clarity which is concealed yet conspicuous.
The smooth sand provides roots for my worn sandals.
I blossom indifferently…
I deteriorate indifferently…

I am
indifferent…
