Changing Times Poem by Mary Champion

Changing Times

There's an asphalt road,
where there used to be a leafy lane.

There's a smudge of smoke,
where there used to be a changing sky.

There's a factory,
where there used to be a rustic barn.

There's a hammer sound
where I used to hear the song of birds.
