Chasing The Living Water Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Chasing The Living Water

To chase this life is to chase the self's own vapor—
that small self pursuing the boundless river of Unity,
the eternal Essence that slips through every grasp.
It laughs at the stones of identity, the dams of will,
flowing unbidden, a secret kept behind the Veil.

Pursue it as one soul follows another,
as a merciful breath inhales the divine exhale:
first a whisper in the void,
then a knowing as certain as the heart's own truth,
then an annihilation as sure as the return.

Let it pull you past the husks of what was forbidden,
beyond the veiled wounds of separation,
past the echoing names that chain the shadow-self.
When the river bends in sacred play,
bend with it—surrender the straight road.
When it pours into abyssal depths,
pour yourself after it, merging in the Ocean that is One.

And there, downstream, where light shatters the final veil
and all form dissolves into gentleness,
Truth is waiting: hands in the primordial stream,
whispering your true Name—the covenant
sealed before the illusion of Time began,
the oath of subsistence sworn in pre-eternity,
never to be broken.

My Covenant
