Cheap Labor Poem by Shane Markie

Cheap Labor

Ear-wrenching blowers
blowing it:
they take
fake air
here and there
where bamboo rakes
would do finely
kindly to the ears

& low paid backs
don't blow steam
seeming content
w/ minimum wage

layoff time
comes on cue
hot air boss
knows what to do
backs come and go
fast as the grass grows
