Chess Match Poem by Hope Regnum

Chess Match

The familial game sat and waited

Wait and be patient, let your mind be stimulated.

Make your moves tactful and calculated

There are many ways to play the game.

Working in and around the mind's windowpane

Bishop and a rook won't be all I claim

every move made, you must explain

Because they say

'Why did you move and step into my domain? '

The name of the game, yet still they complain

Do what I must to win in my own way

I can't think like them wasn't born with a left-brain

Not being disrespectful or rude when I make my move

I visualize and create my way through

Different, but I can play just like you
