Children At Play Poem by Ken Barrett

Children At Play

Out in a green field a white oak stands tall
As the children laugh and play around
With their imagination wherewithal
And mystical places to be found

Creating a crown made of twig and leaf
Choosing a new ruler for this world
As they play in the land of make belief
A great kingdom has become unfurled

Pixies began to fly out of the tree
And dance around the children at play
As the children smile in wonderous glee
Enjoying this beautiful fairy fey

As the daylight begins to fade away
The children will come back another day
