Children Of Promise - Poem by Michael P. Johnson

“Cry from the walls temple and steeple
Pay heed Salvation’s call
Heaven’s raising a chosen people
From whom not one will fall

Trust in The Lord your God your King
Trust in His awesome might
Have faith; life’s victory song to sing
Arising from the fight

Be not afraid my children dear
Take heart stand Jesus true
Your Captain’s arm is ever near
To guide and comfort you

Stand firm as one; always aware!
Have faith in saving grace
Knowing my love, knowing I care
For those who seek my face

Allow no circumstance dismay
No situation fright
I’m with you constant in the fray
And through the darkest night

My word is true my promise real
On this you can rely
Upon who’s life I place my Seal
That soul will never die

So what my child is there to fear?
What foe can cause you harm?
When True Salvation’s ever near
Wielding His mighty arm

Take firmly hold my righteous hand
Raise high my Trusted Sword
Forever will be my Promised Land
For those who trust The Lord”
