The first Chord was cut
And it took its first breath outside
Wailing and moving uneasily
From one arm to another
Building new Chords of relationship
Relationships which crumble at every minute
They congratulated her for birthing life
Life that is more fragile than the baby.
Chords that link it to the world
One intertwined with another
And thus the ever growing web of life
The more it tries to untangle them
The more they coil round its neck.
Now its time to slash these Chords
Which connects it to the world
And take a last breath outside
