Cigarettes!
The smoke lingers,
Intoxicating my cheap breath,
All the while,
Drowning my drowsy self,
Into a world,
Which is so irrelevant.
Cigarettes!
They burn so bright,
They burn so right,
Upon the ordinary days of my life.
Cigarettes! Cheap Cigarettes!
Does the trick,
As the clock ticks,
Close to midnight
Upon the end of my life!
