Cleansed Wine Glass Poem by James Dylan

Cleansed Wine Glass

How you glisten when you are washed
Far shinier than the rest
Of the glasses you are placed alongside
You appear lovelier then them all
Although you have been cleansed
With a foreign substance
That you are not made to hold
A dropp of this substance remains
From the waterfall you had to endure
Now clean of the red marks
Your glorious shape radiates
Once again prepared for the acquaintance
With the liquid you long to absorb
The drops that cleansed you
Just a precursor
For the substance that fills you
