Close Encounters Poem by Andre Beyers

Close Encounters

Rating: 0.5

Eyes locked in a deadly stare,
I try to move,
But I am to scared,
I'll never win,
Can't back out,
But what's the point of going in,
She'll rip my heart from my chest,
Where I keep all my treasure,
But she's far to strong,
For me to put her,
Where she belongs,
Inside my fortress walls,
So I let her go along,
Be free,
Be happy,
And as always,
Next time I'll be ready

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We all have or has had that person that you are so crazy about, but you can never build up the courage to tell them, and then every time you come across them it feels like a life or death situation, and you let go even though you want that person more than anything in the world, all because you're to afraid of being rejected by the person you want most
