Close Far Away Poem by Richard Phipps

Close Far Away

What are you thinking about?
I need to know, remove all doubt.
I'd take a guess, remove the stress,
but can't take it if I'm wrong.

Most of the time I hurt inside.
You can't see it unless you try.
Maybe someday you'll figure it out,
then possibly you'll know why.

Forever nights, for never days.
Forever always in a haze.
Traipsing listless through this maze.
Can't resolve to a better stage

I don't want you in my mind
but can't leave you behind.
I don't know your touch,
but want to love you so much.
I don't know your life,
but want to be a part so much.

Heaven is when you're in my arms.
Living is being so close.
Dying is being so far away.
Take the time, make you mine.
Stay with me, share my days.
Living so close, so far away.
