Clouds Poem by Katherine H. Belle

Clouds

I look upon the sky

for answers that cannot be found

I look upon the clouds

White and soft

I am envious

Why do you seem so pure?

Tell me, how can i be like you?

A life time of questioning i ask them

A life time of pain they know

An eternity of people ask them

An eternity of people envy and gloat

A child beaten and bruised

An old man poor and hungry

A mother whos lost her child

A father whos lost his family

They all look upon to the clouds for answers

The clouds listen with an open ear

They hear thier pain and suffering

Theyve looked upon death for years

So now i know something i didnt before.

I know something that isnt a lie

I know why the sky goes dark at night

I know why white clouds cry.
