Coke And Kisses Poem by Christopher McInnes

Coke And Kisses

Rating: 5.0

Put your lips against mine
and I will puff your cares away,
like froth from the top of a coke;
let me taste your secrets,
like the sweet dark liquid underneath
and I will share your troubles,
like breathing in the bubbles;
gently I will nuzzle the flowing tresses from your neck,
like my tongue parting the velvety fluid,
so that I can caress your skin with kisses,
like sipping that softly lapping nectar
and even when we can only speak by phone,
like drinking through a straw,
your inner spirit will come down the line,
like foaming essence rushing through a plastic tube
and I will drink the cup of love all dry.
I am an arid island and your darkling waves
beat upon the shores, airblown tides
soaking joy-deep into the sand.
