Cold Memory Poem by Kayla Welch

Cold Memory

It's raining all around me
My heart is beating fast
I'm trying to keep from hyperventilating
While I think of the time, that's passed
My clothes are drenched in water
But my skin is completely numb
I remember what you used to feel like
Before you decided to run
You decided the rain was too cold
You thought I was just getting old
You were suddenly grew attired
And told me to adhere
So I walk silently
And, in the rain, my eye sneaks a tear
I don't want your sorrow
I just wanna be alone
So i'll keep walking
On this concrete road
I don't know where I'm going
But anywheres better than here
So I'll keep on walking
Until theres no more tears
