College And Lonely Hardship Poem by Martin Byrne

College And Lonely Hardship

Summer and Autumn have gone and died
Leaving winter wonders near and nigh
Cold winds bring change of place
And change IN skin
Light doesn't reach
In the dark dark dim
Pale color writes stories of a noosed neck
Young beauty screams keep naivety in check
Spring, come down with melting glow
I'm the unfrozen caveman, don't you know?
Frail reach to past intentions
Melting dew from my hand
rewarded with shock of present reflections
and time keeps flowing, like the sand
