Come And Eat Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Come And Eat

“Open your gates let Jesus speak
My Kingdom’s here for all to seek
First die to self, receive life’s Seal
My Holy Ghost will all reveal

Who eat of me will never die
I am the truth I cannot lie
To eat my flesh may sound absurd
But let your faith accept my word

Come eat the truth leave nought to waste
There’s no mistake, nought said in haste
You’ll trust in self, in Satan’s lies
But doubt my word and die like flies

Void of knowledge you’ll see decay
You need the truth to show the way
You need but ask, I’ll send Him free
To contrite hearts on bended knee

My word’s a door that’s never locked
Though all my come, your God’s not mocked
Who now play games, despise my rules
Patient I am, but not with fools

Who choose to live in constant shame
Should know The Lord’s consuming flame
Best now be warned before too late
Void the devil or share his fate

Man’s time is short your end’s in sight
Then like a thief I’ll come one night
You must be clean to join my bride
Pure as gold seven times tried

It’s not your deeds, but by my grace
The meek alone may see my face
Before time’s dawn, a few I saved
Is in my hand your name engraved?
