Come Away With Me Poem by floyd thomas

Come Away With Me

When I was just a little guy, I used to love to lie beneath the old oak tree. Laying in the shade I really had it made- won't you go there with me. Come away with me to the old oak tree. Where branches climb up into the blue. There hand in hand, we will understand, what makes our wildest dreams come true. Come away with me to the old oak tree ' we'll lie back and gaze into the leaves. With every kiss we'll find a heavenly bliss, In a land of make believe. Our hearts will grow lighter, we'll feel so gay. The future will seem brighter as we pass the time of day. Come away with me to the old oak tree. We'll place our faith in heaven up above. And as sure as we live, we're sure to give, each other all our love.
