Coming Home Sydney - Poem by Thomas Burling

I woke up this morning feeling empty like a husk of grain
the reality of my life dawning from the rain on the window
I have so many things that make my life not as perfect as i believe
an education, work, money and countless problems that are unseen to me
one thing keeps me from feeling my life as I would
keeps me from falling to sleep in the late of night
my dreams are vivid full of life and imagination
yet so hard to fufill whence the reality it came
countless questions I ask myself but nothing I realise
only one thing makes sense, one thought of feeling
insanity is the borderline of my overbearing emotion
yet this emotion gives me a life of meaning, to you
