Companion Moon (Translated Into English) Poem by Jules L.

Companion Moon (Translated Into English)

Why hate the moon above,
when she's so precious, grand, and bright?
Along with stars, she gives her light
to skies where there's just pain, not love.

My companion moon…

A silent friend who makes no sound,
no warmth she gives, nor hides her face,
no fear that she might burn your grace…
she's there when loneliness surrounds.

My companion moon…

She walks beside me in the night,
though morning soon will paint the skies.
Yet peace will bloom within my eyes
each time I see her silver light.

My companion moon…

She's wrapped in stars that gently gleam…
both up above, and still below,
their presence felt, a constant glow
in sky or heart or midnight dream.

The moon—round, crescent, full, or bare—
in every form, she holds her grace.
My lovely moon, my perfect face,
my shining moon that lights the air.

My companion moon…

She is the calm that soothes my chest,
the light that warms my weary soul,
the darkness where I feel most whole,
the friend who shares my nightly rest.
The moon who comes when day is done,
the moon who leaves me never alone.

The companion moon…
My companion moon…
