Competitive Poem by Udaya Pant

Competitive

Competitive

He had once liked me
Admired all my doings
But not always, my ways
Wanted to clip my wings

He had wanted of me
To act where he liked
My conscience told me
Do not just get hyped

I still was very sincere
Committed, true and plain
He believed in his agenda
Requisites down the drain

He discouraged me always
At time was prohibitive
For he may have thought
I was being competitive!
