Complications Poem by Cabaline xxx

Complications

The flourishes of the pen, assaulting the paper,
taking an imperfect object and embellishing it with words.
Taking an imperfect person and swathing them with,
similes and cryptic clues.
Taking someone of great importance, picking them up,
and placing them upon a pedestal, to be adored.
Taking love and warping it to conform to a persons will,
selfishly and childishly and hopefully.
The pen lands upon the paper but pauses, when,
the poet discovers difficulty, expressing emotion.
The poet has a simple message not so simply said.

Twisting every metaphor and song to weave around you,
indebted forever am I to you, for the way you are.
