Compromise - Poem by Dillip K Swain

I am arrested
by a heavy evening rain
Thinking of you
And only you

I see you from the distance
Recollecting your beaming face
Basking in the sunshine
Not found through ages

We fought for a decade
Over a trade of little wealth
As I could do nothing
Except writing for good health

Your late approval for
My madness and my passion
Revived my fading love
In an energetic fashion

Now I have got the poetry train
Being arrested by the nonstop rain
And the mild breeze
Fine tuning my brain

My dear,
The ecstasy of this morning
Is singing a prolonged song
Pleasing my ear drums all along

A powerful and deep thought provoking poem.. A compromise will sometimes erase the hate we feel inside our hearts and give way to a feeling of happiness. The status of two persons who loved each other will be renewed and will result to a joyful relationship. You masterfully conveyed this message with a beautiful little story with human touch. An amazing piece.10 (Report) Reply

    ''Your late approval for
    My madness and my passion
    Revived my fading love
In an energetic fashion'' - I especially love this stanza; and the emotions, the honesty, and the sensitivity of this poem.

The ecstasy of this morning is singing with breeze of mind during heavy rain. Fading love hears the whisper of energetic lovable raindrops and allows mind to think more. An excellent imagery is drawn in this poem. This is beautifully penned...10 (Report) Reply

I am double dozed to go on............i am not sure what this means, and you might mean double dosed, unless you British-influenced Indians use doze for the noun dose. to me, doze is a verb meaning 'to sleep lightly'/for a short period of time. doze is sometimes a noun, which i did not know till today...i think. i don't think the sun basks; i think, rather, that some people bask in the sun's rays of light and heat

    bask
1- - lie exposed to warmth and light, typically from the sun, for relaxation and pleasure.
sprawled figures basking in the afternoon sun
synonyms: laze, lie, lounge, relax, sprawl, loll,
2- - revel in and make the most of (something pleasing) . [to be continued].............. bri ;)
