Consequence Poem by Lilyann Monahan

Consequence

The deadened sense of crimson,
silencing my core,
a consequence of fate or luck,
he chastises me once more.
The reward and blessing I conceived,
a cherishing so real,
once again deceived me,
for having faith as I did kneel.
