Constellations in the night,
All the stars are shining bright,
Tiny needle points of light,
Speckle into sight.
Constellations span the sky,
See them all from where you lie,
Join the dots and play I Spy,
Up in space they fly.
Constellations pictured there,
Orion and the plough and bear,
Connected all with angel hair,
Stories they can share.
Constellations, flying free,
One is twinkling there for me,
Orion's Belt is one, two, three,
As clear as can be.
Constellations oh so far,
Make you feel how small you are,
See their beauty from afar,
Reach for every star.
Constellations drawn by man,
Been around since time began,
A hundred million year's lifespan,
Name them if you can.
Constellations miles away,
Nestled in the Milky Way,
We can't see them during day,
But they're here to stay.
Constellations, lost from sight
All the stars were shining bright,
Await them in the morning light,
Til tomorrow night.
