Copycat Poem by The Power_Palace.Poet_Union.Order Sir.

Copycat

Copycat, copycat
Every move you make, I catch
Invisible strings attached
You mimic, you mock
But your true self, you block
Copycat, copycat
Echoing my every word
A puppet, a copy
But your voice, unheard
You follow, you trace
But your own path, you chase
Copycat, copycat
Mirror image of my style
Pose and posture, you rival
But your reflection, you revile
You copy, you steal
But your true self, you conceal
Copycat, copycat
Flickering shadows, you are
Stealing my spotlight
But your own light, you scar
You mirror, you imitate
But your own identity, you berate
Copycat, copycat
Pretending to be me
But your own truth, you flee
You replicate, you duplicate
But your own existence, you negate

Copycat, copycat
Envious of my every move
But your own jealousy, you prove
You follow, you mimic
But your own dreams, you cynic
Copycat, copycat
I try to escape
But your grip, you reshape
You copy, you mimic
But your own self, you mimic
Copycat, copycat
A shadow, you remain
But your own light, you disdain
You imitate, you duplicate
But your own path, you hesitate
Copycat, copycat
Invisible strings, you hold
But your own story, you withhold
You follow, you pursue
But your own truth, you eschew
Copycat, copycat
A copy of a copy
But your own worth, you drop
You mimic, you replicate
But your own voice, you insulate
Copycat, copycat
The world sees you as a reflection
But your own self, lost in deception
You pose, you mimic
But your own dreams, you inhibit
Copycat, copycat
No more will I be your muse
I'll break free, and you'll lose
You copy, you emulate
But my own self, I'll elevate
Copycat, copycat
Lost in your own facade
But your own true self, I applaud
You follow, you trace
But your own identity, you'll embrace
Copycat, copycat
A sad and lonely existence
But your own life, you'll hence
You mimic, you imitate
But your own worth, you'll elevate
Copycat, copycat
My time with you, I'll sever
But your own journey, you'll discover
You replicate, you duplicate
But your own truth, you'll cultivate
Copycat, copycat
My reflection, you once were
But your own self, you'll now prefer
You copy, you echo
But your own voice, you'll let go
Copycat, copycat
In my shadow, you used to reside
But your own light, you'll now provide
You mimic, you emulate
But your own story, you'll create
Copycat, copycat
A copy of me, you'll no longer be
But your own unique self, you'll finally see
No more will you mimic, no more will you trace
For you are more than just a mere copy, in this life's race.
