Corridor Poem by Michelle Tiddy

Corridor

Rating: 0.5

There is a corridor in this world
That we may choose to take, to follow
We may never be able to see the exit
But something draws us slowly to it
A pulsating fear, a dread, a hope?

As our gentle footsteps follow
This path to either wonderment or
Sorrow, we cut our souls and soles
Along the way, this is the price
That we pay for testing and trying

There is a velvetness that marks
Our way along this journey and leads
Us into uknown vortexes, where we
Twist and turn, mutate, gestate..
Become something, we've never seen..

But, the light pulls us closer
It tantalises and taunts us and
Promises something that we've
Never known, or dreamed of, this
Bewildering anticipation of nervousness

And our spirit hopes and begs
And sometimes undresses our innermost
Feelings, that dare! to spring into
Being and reveal the truth that is
So deep within our hearts..

Oh blessed are we, that sit here
Amongst the trees, and whisper unto
The wind, our fantasies, our plays
Our veritible games, of searching
Of love, of despair and unrepair
