Could We Play Pretend? Poem by Gwen Ong

Could We Play Pretend?

Could we play pretend,
Ignore, and just dance

This night, will be past tense,
Close your eyes,
You wont see it hence

Kiss my lips,
We need no speak,
Right no,
This was no one's lead
This meet, might take no leap
We'll be, a candle wick

Oh no, it's like a flick,
Time flew, like so mad quick
Before, I start to think
It's too late,
You got me so weak

Pull away now, right in nick
Exact words, my mind keep repeat
I know, I'm such a dimwit
And now, I can't retreat
