Countdown Poem by Peter Eliastam

Countdown

Curb your pitbulls,
You who taunt the Jews.
Count cautiously
The cost of your disaster.
Jealous of the Jewish caste,
You under-estimate
Their Master.
Curb your cravings,
You who would exterminate
The Race of the Messiah.
Check your brute attack,
For your own ballistic
Alchemy will soon backfire
At your base.
Curb your cohorts,
You who plot to make
The Holocaust a mere statistic.
Curb them. Rein them back
Before the last and fatal
Die of your destruction
Has been cast.
Curb your passions
For the precedents of
Amalek, Haman and Herod,
Hitler and Hussein.
The Bulls of Bashan
Will not storm the
God of Israel again.
