Creatures of the night we all seem to be,
as dusk settles over our features a new portrait of eternity.
Our souls the whispering winds,
as our hearts lie asleep.
We travel to the world of our dark side of our dreams.
Forgotten words our minds seem to scream,
but our mouths never dare speak.
The shadows where truth lies,
hidden by fake smiles and hallow light.
Morbid and idle we wait for our time,
for the day to give into a cynical mind.
Secretly craving the freedom we find
When its night mare comes to bark and bite
Even in spite,
I dare to be a creature of the night.
