Crossed The Bridge Poem by Sean Green

Crossed The Bridge

I dreamt I crossed the bridge
to arrive where I'd begun
gender matched as consequence
when the subject came to love

taking favors from the same
matching grace in the exchange
with no guilt or reticence
for the pleasure then possessed

embracing lovers from a place
of adoration some abhor
affection that came naturally
sadly discouraged by the whole

it mattered not behind the veil
where acceptance was assured
echoing what's known inside
on the canvas of pleasured dreams.
